Another great idea might be to take your child on a shopping trip to a fruit and vegetable market, show them different fruits and vegetables, let them pick a few, take them home and together make a scrumptious and healthy fruit salad or salad for lunch/dinner. Not only will they learn a bit about the produce, but they can see the process from store, to preparation, to enjoying eating their creation.
