“Fiver for a Farmer” – Fundraising to help our Farmers

Teaching Children to care because “Within the Child lies the fate of the future” Dr. Maria Montessori

Here at Angel’s Paradise Learning Centres, like the rest of the country, we want to do our part for our farmers and their families. We have decided to raise money for a not for profit organisation called “Fiver for a Farmer”. Here I shall tell you a bit about the organisation and their mission.

“Fiver for a Farmer” was started by children from St John the Baptist Primary School in Freshwater. They had been learning about the drought and how it affected farmers and their kids, they then decided that they wanted to start a fundraiser for them. Their idea was to get dressed up as farmers and bring in a five dollar note to raise money and awareness. These kids want to feel better about helping their mates on farms.

On their website: https://afiverforafarmer.com.au/ the group outlines the exact reasons why they are doing what they’re doing, as well as where your money will go. We did in-centre fundraising last month and hope to continue to help this cause. So please, if you feel you are able, you can donate in-centre, or via the website at the beginning of this paragraph.

Help our kids help their fellow kids and our amazing farming industry.

At Angel’s Paradise Early Learning Centres we are teaching children to care about the role farmers play to keep us all going!
